Homemade Aloo Matar Paneer Ki Sabzi Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups potatoes cut into cubes
2 cups paneer cubes ( frozen or fresh)
2 cups peas (frozen or fresh )
3 onions made into paste
4 tomatoes made into puree
1 bay leaf
1 cinnamon stick
2 green cardamom
4-5 cloves
1/2 tbsp chopped ginger
1/2 tbsp chopped garlic
2 chopped green chillies
2 tbsp kasuri methi
2-3 tbsp melon powder or cashewnut powder
1 tsp shahi jeera
1 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1/2 tbsp jeera (cumin ) powder
1/2 tbsp garam masala
1 tsp pepper powder
1tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
1/4 tsp cardamom powder (optional)
coriander leaves for garnishing
salt as per taste
oil for frying
Method :
In a pan heat some oil for frying. Fry the potatoes and paneer on medium flame in small batches. Once done keep aside.
Heat 5-6 tbsp ghee , add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom then add the shahi jeera when it splutters add the ginger , garlic and onion paste.
Cook till the onions turn pinkish in color, then add the tomato puree and cook on low flame stirring at intervals.
When the onion tomato paste leaves the sides of the pan add all the dry spices and mix well.Then add the fried paneer, potatoes and peas with 1-2 cups of water.
Cover and cook on low flame for 5-10 minutes.
Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve this yummy sabzi with chapati, paratha, kulcha or naans.
