Homemade Anjeer Halwa Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 200 gms dried anjeer ( figs)

  • 2 cups hot water

  • 1/2 cup rawa ( semolina)

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup ghee

  • 3/4 cup milk powder or 1/2 cup mawa

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

  • some chopped nuts

Method:

  1. Wash the anjeer then soak it in 2 cups hot water. Cover and keep it for 2 hours.

  2. Drain the water and keep it aside for future use.

  3. Take a grinder add the soaked anjeer and the water kept aside. Grind into a fine paste.

  4. In a pan dry roast the rawa on low flame stirring continuously till golden brown in colour. Add the ghee then the anjeer paste and cook stirring continuously for 5-10 minutes.

  5. Add the cardamom powder and sugar and again cook on low flame till it forms into a lump and drops of ghee is seen on the sides.

  6. Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with some chopped nuts and anjeer pieces.
