Homemade Anjeer Halwa Recipe

200 gms dried anjeer ( figs)
2 cups hot water
1/2 cup rawa ( semolina)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup ghee
3/4 cup milk powder or 1/2 cup mawa
1 tsp cardamom powder
some chopped nuts
Method:
Wash the anjeer then soak it in 2 cups hot water. Cover and keep it for 2 hours.
Drain the water and keep it aside for future use.
Take a grinder add the soaked anjeer and the water kept aside. Grind into a fine paste.
In a pan dry roast the rawa on low flame stirring continuously till golden brown in colour. Add the ghee then the anjeer paste and cook stirring continuously for 5-10 minutes.
Add the cardamom powder and sugar and again cook on low flame till it forms into a lump and drops of ghee is seen on the sides.
Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with some chopped nuts and anjeer pieces.
