Homemade Besan Ladoo Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups besan (gram flour)

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/2 cup ghee

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

  • 3-4 tbsp almonds and cashewnut finely chopped

Method:

  1. In a heavy pan roast the besan in ghee stirring continuously till the kitchen is filled with its aroma and the colour changes to golden brown. If the besan mixture is too dry 1-2 tsp of more ghee can be added.

  2. Let it cool slightly then add the sugar, cardamom powder and roasted almond and cashewnuts. Mix well and then roll into round balls the shape of ladoo.

  3. Repeat the process till all the ladoos are made.

  4. It can be stored in an air tight container for about 2-3 weeks.

Suggestion : use coarse gram flour instead of fine gram flour.
