Homemade Bhatura Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups maida (white flour )

  • salt as per taste

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp soda bi carbonate

  • 1 cup curds (yogurt)

  • oil for frying

Method

  1. In a bowl mix all the above ingredients together and bind into a semi soft dough adding water little by little as required.

  2. Keep the dough to rest for 3-4 hours.

  3. Make round balls of equal size.

  4. Dust the rolling board with some maida and roll the balls into round or oval shaped thin puris

  5. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the bhatura on medium flame.

  6. Repeat the process for the remaining balls.

  7. Serve hot with Pindi Cole

    Alternatively the bhatura dough can also be made by adding 1/4 cup each of wheat flour and semolina (rawa) to 2 cups of maida.
