Homemade Bread Pakora Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices white bread ( small)

  • 1/2 cup besan ( gram flour)

  • 1 small onion chopped finely ( optional)

  • 1-2 green chillies chopped finely

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/4 tsp asefodita

  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder

  • salt as per taste

  • some chopped coriander leaves

  • 8-9 tbsp oil for shallow frying

Method:

  1. Keep the bread slices aside .In a bowl add the besan and all the above ingredients and mix well.

  2. Make a medium consistency batter by adding water little by little and ensuring that there are no lumps in it. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes.

  3. Take a pan and heat oil.

  4. Take a bread slice dip it in the besan batter and coat the bread thinly with the batter then place it on the pan. Cover and cook on low flame till golden brown. Flip and cook till the other side is also golden brown.

  5. Remove in a plate .Cut the bread into triangle .

  6. Repeat the process for all the remaining bread slices.

Enjoy this yummy less oil Bread Pakora with ketchup or green chutney.
