Homemade Cauliflower Peas Sabzi Recipe
Ingredients:
500 gms cauliflower chopped into small florets
1 green chilli chopped finely
1/2 tbsp ginger chopped finely
1 cup peas (frozen)
some spring onions leaves chopped (optional)
1-2 tej patta (bay leaf)
1 cinnamon stick
2-3 pinch asafoetida
1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp jeera powder (cumin powder)
1/2 tbsp amchur (mango powder )
salt as per taste
coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
Heat oil in a pan add asafoetida and jeera when it splutters add tej patta and cinnamon stick, then add the turmeric powder, green chilli and ginger saute for a second.
Add the chopped cauliflower. Cover and cook on low flame till it is soft, stirring at intervals.
Add the frozen peas and all the remaining dry spices and salt. Mix well cover and cook for a minute.
Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves and spring onions leaves.
Serve with chapatis or parathas.
note: 1-2 chopped potatoes can also be added to the cauliflower.
