Homemade Corn Puri Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups maize Flour

  • 3 cups wheat flour

  • 5 potatoes boiled

  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

  • 4-5 chopped green chillies

  • pinch of asefodita

  • 1 tsp ajwain (carrom seeds )

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for frying

Method:

  1. Boil and grate the potatoes.

  2. Sieve the maize and wheat flour and add all the above ingredients together and mix well, then add the grated potatoes.

  3. Knead into a stiff dough by adding water as required.Keep it to rest for 10-15 minutes,

  4. Take some oil on your palms and smoothen the dough. Make small balls of equal size .

  5. Take a dough ball and roll into round disc the shape of a puri , keeping it slightly thick.

  6. Heat oil in a kadai and add the puri, fry on medium flame till golden brown on both sides.

  7. Repeat the process for the remaining dough.

Serve this crispy and yummy puri with yogurt and pickle or aloo methi sabzi.
