Homemade Dahi Ke Sholay Recipe
Ingredients:
12 big white bread slices
1 cup hung curds
3/4 cup paneer ( cottage cheese)
1 green capsicum finely chopped
salt as per taste
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
2 tsp pepper powder
2-3 green chillies chopped finely
some chopped coriander leaves
oil for frying
Method:
To prepare hung curds take one kg curds and put it in a cotton or muslin cloth and hang it for 5-6 hours till all the water comes out. If there is any extra water squeeze it out . Remove the hung curds in a bowl and keep it aside.
Cut the sides of all the bread slices.
To the hung curds add all the above ingredients and mix well.
Take a square plastic sheet place one bread slice on it and put some curds mixture at one side of the bread. Take some water and with the help of a brush apply the water on all the sides of the bread and then fold tightly the bread slice with the help of the plastic sheet .
Once folded, from the ends twist the plastic sheet in the form of a chocolate wrapper.
Open the plastic sheet and remove the stuffed bread and keep it aside.
Repeat the process for all the remaining bread.
In a kadai heat some oil for frying and add one by one the stuffed bread and fry on medium flame till golden brown and crispy. Removei n a plate and cut into halves.
Serve this yummy Dahi ke Sholay with green chutney or ketchup.
