Homemade Instant Murukku Chakli Recipe

Ingredients:
2.5 cups rice flour
1/2 cup urad dal flour
2 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp asafetida (hing)
2 tbsp white til (sesame seeds )
salt as per taste
oil for frying
Method:
In a bowl add the rice and urad dal flours, til, salt, asafetida and butter.Mix all the ingredients well. Add water as required to form a soft dough. Do not over knead the dough.
Take a chakli making machine and grease it with some oil.
Make cylindrical balls of the dough and fill the machine with it.
On a butter paper pipe the dough into spiral chakli then join the ends together.
Heat some oil in a kadai and fry the chakli in small batches on medium to low flame till golden brown in colour on both sides.
Remove the chakli on a kitchen towel.
Repeat the process till all the dough is used up.
When cooled store in an airtight container.
