Homemade Instant Oats Uttapam Recipe

Total Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups oats grinded

  • 2 cups fine rawa/sooji/semolina

  • 1 cup curds/yogurt

  • salt as per taste

  • 1 tsp ENO

For Toppings:

  • 2 big chopped onions

  • 3-4 chopped green chillies

  • 4-5 strings chopped curry leaves (optional)

  • some chopped coriander leaves

  • 1 tsp chilli powder

  • 1 tsp chaat masala

Method:

  1. In a grinder jar add the oats and grind into a fine powder.

  2. Take a bowl and mix the oats powder, rawa and salt together then add the curds and 2 cups water. Mix well so that there are no lumps and it forms into a smooth pouring consistency batter. Water can be adjusted accordingly. Keep aside to rest for 10 minutes.

  3. Mix together the chopped onions, green chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves, chilli powder and chaat masala. Keep aside for future use.

  4. After the rest time add the ENO to the batter and mix well.

  5. Take a non stick pan pour 1-2 ladle of the batter in the center and spread it slowly to from a half inch thick round uttapam.

  6. Pour a little oil all over it then sprinkle the chopped onion mixture all over the uttapam. Cover and cook on low to medium flame till it is light brown in colour from below . Remove the cover and flip on the other side and cook again till brown in colour.

  7. Remove in a plate and repeat the process till all the batter is used.

Serve this yummy and healthy oats uttapam with green chutney.
