Homemade Lauki Gajar Kebab Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 gms lauki (bottle gourd)

  • 1 big gajar (carrot)

  • 2-3 green chillies

  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger

  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric [powder

  • 1 tbsp chilli powder

  • 1/2 tbsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp jeera (cumin) powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 1 tbsp mango powder ( amchur powder)

  • 2 tbsp white sesame seeds ( white til)

  • 1/4 cup roasted gram flour or sattu flour

  • salt as per taste

Method :

  1. Peel, wash and then grate the lauki and gajar. Squeeze out the extra water.

  2. In a bowl take the grated lauki and gajar , add all the dry spices in it .Mix well then add little by little the roasted gram flour to bind the lauki and gajar.Add the salt at the end otherwise it will leave out water and the mixture will become watery.

  3. Take a little of the mixture on your palms and roll into long or oval shape.

  4. In a non stick pan heat some oil and place the rolled kebab on it. Cook on low to medium flame till it is brown on both sides.

  5. Remove in a plate and repeat the process till all the kebab are done.

Serve this healthy and yummy Lauki Gajar Kebab with green chutney.
