Homemade Milk Powder Barfi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk powder

  • 1 cup desiccated coconut

  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar

  • 2-3 tbsp tutti-frutti or dry fruits

  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

  • 1/4 cup cold or room temperature milk

  • silver foil for decoration ( optional)

Method:

  1. In a bowl mix the milk powder, desiccated coconut, cardamom and sugar.

  2. Add the cold milk little by little in the mixture till it forms into a dough then add the tutti-frutti and make into a smooth ball.

  3. Grease yours palms with a little ghee and shape the ball into a cylindrical log. Give the log a round, square or triangular shape.

  4. Take an aluminum sheet and place the log on it . Cover tightly and seal the ends.

  5. Keep it in the freezer for 10 minutes.

  6. Remove and unwrap the log. Cover it with the silver foil. Then cut into half inch pieces.

  7. Decorate it in a serving dish.

  8. Store in fridge for long shelf life.

Enjoy and make this instant barfi on special occasions and festivals.

Note: measurements to be followed to get perfect barfi.
