Homemade Rawa ( Semolina ) Idli Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups rawa ( semolina)
1 cup curds (yogurt)
1 cup water
salt
1 ENO ( fruit salt) sachet
Method:
In a bowl add all the above ingredients without the ENO.
Mix well to form a smooth batter.
Cover and keep it to rest for 15-20 minutes.
Heat some water in a vessel or in an Idli cooker .
Grease the idli moulds by applying a little oil.
After 15-20 minutes mix the idli batter and if it is too thick add some water to make a thick pouring consistency batter.
Add the ENO fruit salt. Mix lightly and immediately pour into the greased Idli moulds.
Keep the idli stand in the hot water vessel .Cover and cook for 15 minutes on high to medium flame.
After 15 minutes to check if the idlis are cooked pierce a knife in one of the idli if it comes out clean remove from water.
Let it cool for 5 minutes and then remove the idlis from the moulds with the help of a wet/moist spoon.
Serve this soft and spongy Idlis with sambar and coconut chutney .
