Homemade Sweet and Sour Chutney

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup amchur powder (mango powder)

  • 1/2 cup grated jaggery

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1/4 tsp coriander powder

  • 1/4 tsp garam masala

  • 1/4 tsp pepper powder

  • 1/4 tsp roasted jeera (cumin ) powder

  • 1/4 tsp black salt

  • pinch of asafoetida

  • 4 cups water

  • salt as per taste


Method:

  1. Mix all the above ingredients in water and cook in a pan on low flame for 20-25 minutes stirring at interval till it thickens.

  2. Remove from flame and allow it to cool.

  3. Pour in a glass bottle and store in refrigerator.

  4. This sweet and sour chutney can be stored for about two weeks.
