Homemade Watermelon Sabzi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 cups watermelon’s white flesh nearest to the rind

  • 1 tsp ginger chopped

  • 1 green chilli chopped

  • 1 tsp jeera (cumin) seeds

  • pinch of asefodita

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1/2 tsp jeera (cumin ) powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

  • salt as per taste

  • chopped coriander leaves for garnishing


Method:

  1. Remove the white flesh of the watermelon. Wash and cut into cubes.

  2. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan add the asefodita and jeera when it splutters add the chopped ginger, chilli, sauté for few seconds then add the turmeric powder, chopped watermelon flesh and salt.

  3. Cover and cook on low flame stirring at intervals till it is soft.

  4. Add all the remaining spices and mix well. Cook again for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.

    Serve this delicious sabzi with chapati or paratha.
