Homemade Beetroot Halwa Recipe
Ingredients:
250 gms beetroot
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 tbsp ghee
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
chopped almonds and pistachio
Method:
Wash and boil the beetroot then peel and grate.
In a heavy based vessel heat ghee and add the grated beetroot. Cook for about 3- 4 minutes till it is dry.
Add the milk, sugar and cardamom. Keep cooking on low flame stirring at intervals till the milk dries.
Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped nuts.
