Homemade Dabeli Recipe
Ingredients:
8 potatoes boiled
3 onions chopped finely
1/2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 tbsp dabeli masala
2 tbsp amchur (mango ) powder
1 small piece jaggery
salt to taste
2-3 tbsp butter
2-3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
11 nos homemade Pav
For Toppings:
1 big onion finely chopped
some pomegranate seeds
1 cup nylon sev
1 cup masala peanuts
1/4 cup sweet and sour chutney
1/4 cup red chutney
some chopped coriander leaves
Method:
Boil, peel and mash the potatoes. Keep aside.
Heat butter in a pan and saute the onions till it is pink in colour then add the red chilli powder, dabeli masala and salt along with the potatoes. Mix the amchur and jaggery in water and add it to the potatoes.
Cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
Remove in a serving dish and garnish with coriander leaves.
Cut all the pav from the center and make it hot on a butter greased tawa. Spread some red and sweet chutney on one side of the pav and keep some potato masala on the other side. Sprinkle coriander leaves onions, sev, peanuts and pomegranate over it. Close the pav and serve.
