Homemade Dalia ( Broken Wheat ) Khichdi Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup dalia (broken wheat)
1 cup moong chilkawali
a pinch of asefodita
1 tsp jeera (cumin) seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 green chillies chopped finely
1/2 tbsp ginger chopped finely
1/2 tbsp garlic chopped finely
salt as per taste
Method:
Clean, wash and soak the dalia and dal together in 4 cups water for half an hour.
In a pressure cooker heat 2-3 tbsp ghee, add the asefodita and jeera when it splutters saute the garlic and ginger then add turmeric powder and green chilli,.
Add the dalia and dal with the water, salt and mix well.
Close the cooker and cook till 3 whistles.
Once the pressure is released open the cooker.
Remove in a serving bowl.
Serve this delicious khichdi hot topped with some ghee.
