Homemade Healthy Moong Sprout Cutlets
Ingredients:
2 cups sprouted whole green moong boiled
1 cup paneer (cottage cheese )
2 onions finely chopped
1 red pepper /capsicum chopped finely
1 yellow pepper /capsicum chopped finely
1 green chilli chopped finely
1/2 tbsp garlic chopped finely
1/2 tbsp ginger chopped finely
1/2 tbsp chilli powder
1/2 tbsp chaat masala
1 tbsp amchur (mango ) powder
salt to taste
3-4 tbsp coriander leaves chopped finely
Method:
Clean, wash and soak the moong in water for 3-4 hours.Drain all the water from the moong. Cover and keep it in a warm place till it sprouts.
In a pressure cooker add the sprout with salt and two cups water and cook upto
3 whistles.
Once the pressure is released open the cooker, in case there is some water remaining in the sprout cook on low flame till all the water dries.Allow it to cool.
In a bowl mix well all the above ingredients in the cooked moong and roll them into small balls of equal size. Flatten the balls with your palms.
Heat a non stick pan and grease it with a little oil. Place the cutlets on it, cook on both sides on medium to low flame till golden brown in colour by applying a little oil.
Remove in a serving dish.
Enjoy this yummy and healthy less oil cutlets with green chutney and sweet chutney.
note: Leftover cooked sprout moong can also be used as it has been used in the above recipe.
