Homemade Instant Rawa Dhokla Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups rawa ( semolina / sooji )
1 cup curd
2 cups water
1 tsp sugar
2 sachet ENO
salt to taste
For Tadka:
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp white til (sesame seeds)
2 greens chilies cut into slit
few curry leaves
coriander leaves finely chopped for garnishing
Method:
In a bowl add rawa, salt and sugar and give it a good mix. Then add the curds with the water in it .Mix again. Keep it to rest for 20-30 minutes.
In a vessel boil some water for steaming the dhoklas.
Add the ENO to the mixture and mix it lightly. The batter should be of pouring consistency. If required a little water can be added.
Grease a cake tin or Dhokla plate and pour the batter in it.
Place the tin or plate in the hot water vessel and steam it for 10-15 minutes.
Check by piercing a knife, if it comes out clean the dhoklas are ready.
Remove and cut into square pieces.
For the tadka heat oil in a pan , add mustard seeds as soon as it splutters add the remaining ingredients and pour the tadka on the cut doklas.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with green chutney.
