Homemade Mango Shrikhand Recipe

Servings: 750 gms

Curds Hanging Time : 3-4 hours

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time : 0 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 kgs curds/yogurt

  • 1.5 cups sugar

  • 1.5 cups mango puree ( preferably Alphonso or Kesari )

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

  • 1 tbsp chopped pistachio

  • 1 tbsp chopped almonds

  • 1 tbsp chironji

Method:

  1. Hang the curds in a muslin cloth overnight or for 3-4 hours till all the water comes out.

  2. In a bowl add the hung curds and sugar then with the help of a whisk or spoon keep mixing the curds in one direction only till all the sugar melts and a smooth paste is formed . It will take around 10-15 minutes. Then add the cardamom powder and mango puree and again whisk the mixture for about 5 minutes till soft and fluffy.

  3. Remove in a serving dish.

  4. Garnish with nuts and chironji.

  5. Keep it in the fridge for a 1-2 hours.

    Enjoy this yummy mango shrikhand with Undhia, and Puris.
