Homemade Butter Murukku Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup rice flour
3/4 cup besan (gram flour )
1/4 cup sattu atta or roasted gram flour
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup water
1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds )
1/4 tsp asefodita
1/2 tbsp black til (sesame seeds)
salt to taste
oil for deep frying
Method:
Mix all the above ingredients together. Knead into a semi soft dough by adding warm water to it. Keep it to rest for 20 minutes.
Make equal number of balls from the dough and fill it in a chakli making machine till the top.
In a heavy frying pan or kadai take some oil for deep frying. Heat the oil and drop the chaklis in it.
Deep fry on medium flame till it is golden brown on both sides.
Remove on a tissue towel and once cooled keep it in an airtight container
It can be stored for almost a week or two.
