Homemade Drumstick Soup Recipe

Servings: 3-4 persons

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 nos drumsticks

  • 1/4 cup moong dal ( yellow dal)

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp roasted jeera ( cumin) powder

  • 1 tsp pepper powder

  • 1/2 lemon juice

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Peel wash and cut the drumsticks into 1 -2 inches pieces.

  2. Clean, wash and soak the dal in 2 cups water for 10 minutes.

  3. in a pressure cooker add the chopped drumsticks, soaked dal with water, turmeric powder and salt.

  4. Cook the drumstick and dal on low flame for 4 whistles.

  5. Once the pressure is released open the cooker. Mash the mixture with the back of the spoon till it forms a paste.

  6. Sieve the mixture . Add hot water if required to get a soup consistency.

  7. Season with roasted jeera and pepper.

  8. Serve this healthy soup hot.
