Homemade Hummus Recipe
Ingredients:
2 tin/ can white chana (chickpeas)
2-3 garlic pods
1/2 cup tahini paste
1 lemon juice
1 tsp jeera powder (cumin powder)
1/4 cup olive oil
salt
Method:
Drain the chickpeas from the tin and wash them .
Remove the outer skin from all the chickpeas.
Put all the above ingredients in a grinder and make a soft smooth paste by adding a little cold water or ice if necessary.
Remove in a serving bowl and sprinkle some cayenne or paprika over it along with some olive oil.
Hummus is ready and can be eaten with Falafel , Lebanese bread (Kabus) or Salad.
Alternatively Hummus can also be used as a dip for salads and chips.
