Homemade Sweet Potato Kheer Recipe
Ingredients:
500 gms sweet potato
1 liter full fat milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder
some chopped almonds and pistachio for garnishing
Method:
Wash the sweet potatoes and pressure cooker it upto 2-3 whistles.
Remove from cooker and once cooled peel and mash it properly. Keep aside.
In a heavy based vessel heat ghee and cook the sweet potatoes on low flame stirring continuously for about 3-4 minutes.
Then add milk and cook on low flame stirring at intervals till it thickens.
Add the sugar and cardamom and mix well. Cook again for 2-3 minutes.
Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with some chopped almonds and pistachio.
Enjoy this yummy kheer hot or cold.
