Homemade Gujarati Kadhi Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup curds/yogurt
3 tbsp besan/ gram flour
1/4 tsp hing/ asefodita
1/2 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
1/2 tsp rai /mustard seeds
1/4 tsp methi/ fenugreek seeds
2 cloves
1 small cinnamon stick
1 whole red chilli
1 green chilli slit in the center
1/2 tbsp chopped curry leaves
1 tsp chopped ginger
some chopped coriander leaves
1 tbsp jaggery
salt as per taste
Method:
In a bowl add the curds and gram flour. Mix well then add 4 cups water , salt and jaggery and again give it a good mix so that there are no lumps.
Heat a kadai heat 1 tbsp ghee add the rai when it splutters add the jeera then asefodita. To it add the methi seeds, cinnamon stick and cloves. Saute then add the curry leaves, green chilli , whole red chill and ginger. Slowly add the curds mixture and cook on low flame stirring continuously for about 15 to 20 minutes till drops of ghee is seen on the top and the kadhi thickens.
Remove in a serving dish and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
Enjoy this yummy kadhi with rice.
