Homemade Sweet Amla Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:
150 gms amla/goosebery
150 gms jaggery
1/4 tsp asefodita/ hing
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp jeera/cumin seeds
1 tsp sauf /fennel seeds
1/2 tsp kalonji/ onion seeds
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala
salt as per taste
Method:
Wash the amla and then dry or wipe it with a tissue towel. Boil it for about 10 minutes till cracks are seen on them.
Remove from the water and then when cooled remove the seeds from all the amla.
Chop the amla in to small pieces. Keep aside for future use
Grate or chop the jaggery into small pieces.
In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil add the jeera when it splutters add the hing, kalonji and sauf then add all the remaining spices and saute for a second on low flame.
Add the chopped amla and saute for a minute then add the jaggery.
Cook on low flame stirring at intervals. Add the salt and cook till the gravy slightly thickens. Keep mashing the amla with the back of the spoon.
Remove from flame and allow it to cool.
Store in a clean dry glass bottle in the refrigerator.
