Homemade Bread Tikki Chaat Recipe

Ingredients For Tikki:
8 boiled potatoes
4-5 green chillies chopped finely
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp jeera/cumin powder
1 tsp pepper powder
2 tsp amchur/ mango powder
2 tsp chaat powder
salt as per taste
some chopped coriander leaves
Ingredients For Plating:
9 slices of white bread
1 small onion finely chopped
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp chaat powder
6 tbsp curds
6 tbsp nylon sev
3 tbsp sweet chutney
3 tbsp green chutney
some chopped coriander leaves
oil for shallow frying
Method:
Boil, peel and grate the potatoes.
Add all the spices, chopped green chillies and coriander leaves in the potatoes and mix well to form a soft dough.
Take a round cookie cutter or a katori and cut all the bread slices into round shape.
Take a little of the potato dough and roll into a round flat tikki the size of the bread slices.
Brush some oil on each tikki and then place the round bread slices on it. Press lightly.
Repeat the process for all the tikki and bread slices.
Heat some oil in a non stick tawa / pan then place the tikki one by one on the tawa/pan with the bread slices on the top.
Fry on low to medium flame till brown and crispy. Then flip the tikki and fry the bread side also on low to medium flame till brown crispy.
Remove and keep it on the plate.
Repeat till all the tikki are fried.
For plating take a plate place a tikki on it with the bread side below .Spread some curds, green chutney and sweet chutney all over it. Then sprinkle some onions, chaat masala, chilli powder, nylon sev and coriander leaves all over it.
